Introduction


The GT1 project was the result of demand for customers who want to race a modern specification car in GT challenge type races. The competition is stiff at this end of the market as there are plenty of famous Marques who build cars such as the Ferrari 430, lotus Exige and the Porsche GT3 cup. But the Bailey GT1 has many advantages of its rivals such as lower running costs, simple to maintain about 250kgs lighter!

·   Laser cut carbon steel space frame chassis (which has a torsional stiffness of 20500Nm/deg)

·   Laser cut aluminium panels which are then bonded and riveted to the chassis

·   Complete welded in roll cage

·   The front suspension layout is a fully independent double wishbone type.

·   The rear is an independent double trailing arm with transverse top link and lower wishbone.

·   Shock absorbing comes from coil over type with H&R springs.
