Bailey Cars designed the Shelby Can-Am body for 2008 S A Championship. we did such a good job with this we have been asked to design another new body design for the series now in 2012. unfortunatley it is still top secret and so we can't show you pictures until June 2012
Shelby Can-AM's are now racing online due to Bailey Cars
The South African sports cars series is contested by a 1 make design Shelby Can Am. The chassis was designed by Carol Shelby and the body designed by Greg Bailey. For the first time in south african racing history,a the car was modelled on CAD by Greg and then shaped by CNC amilling machines. This has also opened up other avenues like using the CAD data to race the car on an online video plateform called, Speed Sims. Speed Sims took Gregs Cad data, and then rendered it, while added all the necessary handling characteristics of 2009 driver Champion Darryn Lobb's data logging from his real car. The final result is a Shelby Can Am that anyone can race online from any where in the world, anytime!
